East Luwu District of South Sulawesi Province is one of the main cocoa-producing areas in Indonesia. Despite its status, local cocoa farmers have to buy cocoa seedlings from other areas, costing them more money to pay the transport for tree seedlings. Without a careful handling, seedlings may wilt and die during the transportation. Seeing these challenges, Cahaya Sehati cocoa farmers' cooperative took a chance to start its own cocoa seedlings business.
